A Question’s Lines

A Question's Lines

In my imagination:
I see You as a poem,
Stirring the pages of my thoughts.

My favourite words of praise
Return for You,
In all my songs.

When I hear,
The patter of rain,
I find You moving in its dance.

In moments of harmony and despair,
I see Your face,
In my fervent prayers.

By a sudden breeze,
Often I have felt:
You have entered my soul.

In a crowd of human voices,
Greeting, debating: I sight You
Across their live ways.

Lesser in doubt,
More in ardent faith,
All the same

All the same:
Let me ask You, God!
Are You there?
