Upon the slowest night,
How those abhorred shadows ignite,
The presence of my cureless thoughts!
Revision of decisions gives me remorse,
And in the company of my lost love,
I am fully awake.

Savage stars: airborne,
Spill the secrets of night's cowardice,
Revealing its dark chambered plans.
O! Long-lashed sable night -
Why do you mock at my loneliness?
Look at your own serpent-wilderness!
