The Wall

The Wall

The worse for us:
Is the Wall,
Which stands between
You and me.

It depends how we look
At the Wall.
Shall we start:
All over again,
To play a role
As fair humans should?
However, there is no running away
From the Wall.

The Wall puts to the test:
My emotions and your deceit.
When I look ahead,
I see the Wall.
When I look back,
I see the Wall.
The Wall exacts our purpose.
It separates me from you,
And you from me -
To restructure our insolvent forms.

How much more has died
Within me?
How much more will be killed
Of you?
Flutters like a flag done to disgrace,
Staring from the Wall.

The worse for us:
Is the Wall,
Which stands between
You and me.
